How to track your financial summary
See how much revenue came in each month, how many bookings were made, and how many nights were occupied — all calculated automatically by HostX.
HostX automatically calculates the revenue for each property based on confirmed booking amounts. No manual adding required.
Where to find it
On the main dashboard, click the Finances tab (next to Calendar and Requests). Select the property you want to analyze in the property selector.
What you see
Annual chart — bars showing revenue for each month of the year. Click any bar to see a breakdown for that month. The year-to-date total appears in the top right corner.
Selected month card — displays:
- Month total (if the month has already passed) or Month forecast (if it's still in progress) — the sum of all confirmed bookings in the period
- Number of bookings and nights occupied that month
Navigating between months and years
Use the navigation arrows above the chart to move forward or backward between months. The annual chart updates automatically when you change years.
What's included in the calculation
Only bookings with confirmed status are counted. Pending bookings (requests not yet confirmed) do not appear in the financial summary.
The amount used is the Total Booking Value set at the time of creation — which may have been calculated automatically based on your rates or adjusted manually.
One view per property
The financial summary is per property. If you have more than one, select each separately to see individual figures. There is no consolidated view across all properties at this time.
