How to add your first property

Step-by-step guide to adding a property in HostX, creating your first booking, and starting to use the calendar.

After creating your account, the first step is to add the property you want to manage.

1. Go to Units

On the dashboard, click Units in the side menu. You'll see the message "No units added" if this is your first time.

2. Create a new property

Click the + New Property button. Enter the property name — use something easy to identify, like "Downtown Apt" or "Beach House" — and confirm.

The property appears in the list with its creation date. From this point it has its own calendar on the dashboard.

3. View the calendar

Go back to the main dashboard. Select the property in the property selector — the current month's calendar appears with all days available.

Use the arrows to navigate between months and get a view of what's booked ahead.

4. Create your first booking

On the calendar, click the check-in day and then the check-out day. HostX opens the New Booking screen with the period and property already filled in.

Fill in the guest details:

  • Guest Name
  • Phone / WhatsApp
  • Total Booking Value — calculated automatically based on your rates
  • Notes — internal observations, not visible to the guest

Click Create Booking. The days are marked on the calendar immediately.
